Situation & Locality

Tywyn is a popular and pleasant seaside town located on the Cardigan Bay Coast, highly regarded for its excellent sunsets and opportunity to see dolphins from the promenade. The town offers a range of facilities and services to include High Street Shops, Supermarkets, Post Office (offering banking services) , Primary and Secondary Schools, Leisure Centre, Cinema (which offers not only films, but various themed evenings and social events, further information can be found online), Cottage Hospital, with Medical centre which was refurbished a few years ago along with a Dentist. The Cambrian Coast Railway runs through the town with links Northwards along the West Coast and also to the Midlands Area and beyond. A footpath and cycle path has recently been created between Tywyn and Bryncrug to provide a safe walking and cycling route. A Tywyn to Aberdyfi path is in the process of being created. Various events are held in the town throughout the year to include live entertainment and an annual food festival. A number of well established restaurants and cafes can be found within the town and on the seafront. For the art and craft lovers, the town offers a number of independent craft shops and art groups which offer courses for beginners and through to more professional artists. MOMA in Machynlleth is also a haven for local artists and musicians with regular events taking place there throughout the year.

Being situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park the property is also within easy reach of the southern Snowdonia Hills which provide breath taking scenery and are renowned for their natural beauty. You can also enjoy a trip on the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge railway which runs 7 miles inland from the Wharf Station in Tywyn to Nant Gwernol in Abergynolwyn.
